Poppin' Through Music by Bailey Neil

From falling in love, to out of love, to leading a careless lifestyle, pop music and its artists have changed drastically over the years. What is the reason for these changes? Whether it be a mid-life crisis older stars go through, or just industry input to keep themselves relevant, the world of pop is always changing and its artists change along with it. Will history repeat itself? Or will this generation be known as the continuous downward spiral?

Traveling back to the 1960’s can be a joyride. The doo-wop vibe of this high-spirited decade makes everyone want to break out into the mashed potato. Pop and ballads were all the rage during this age; stars like Frank Sinatra, Aretha Franklin, Tony Bennett, and of course, the infamous heartthrob Elvis Presley were making their way into people’s hearts with their unique and exciting sound. Music during this age was full of energy, yet some songs were slower and more romantic. The 60's style flip-flopped between rock 'n roll and pop, and some artists delved into the indecisiveness. Elvis was one of these artists; his style, in fact, was named “Rockabilly.” He combined many different sounds, such as western, blues, and pop, which dominated the radio. Elvis appealed to many younger kids and varied his sound to please his fans. Tony Bennett, at 89 years old, still finds ways to make himself relevant and known in the twenty-first century. He continues to perform on stages and collaborates with artists such as Lady Gaga, who is still well known on the pop charts. The 60's sound seemed to be about falling in love and just being happy in general. The most well-known songs from the 60's have to revolve somewhere around, "The Twist", "My Funny Valentine", and "Can't Help Falling in Love". Falling in love and enjoying life seemed to be the theme back in the 60's, but now that has all seemed to change.

Let’s take a few moments to look back at the dark ages, the early 2000's. You know those pictures you hate to look back on because your fashion sense was just so unbearable? And the hairstyles consisted of side ponytails, crimps, and frosted tips. The music style during that time was very depressing too. It seems that majority of it was heartbroken emotions being spilled out onto a paper. Avril Lavigne, Kelley Clarkson, even Justin Timberlake jumping in with "Cry Me A River". When I think back to listening to the radio, I seem to remember belting Britney Spears' "Everytime", which was an anthem for when your second grade crush didn't return your special love note. The artists seemed to all follow the same path with each other and really jump on the bandwagon. A sexual vibe also began to be given off in the new millennium, more in the R&B and Pop areas of the radio. Artists trying to keep themselves relevant would act out, whether if it was a serious problem they had or if it was the only option left to keep them popular. The rash behavior of celebrities is definitely more common in the later years.

The majority of music now is mainly about drugs, partying, getting laid, or "lit" as some people enjoy saying. Female artists are also now big on empowerment, such as BeyoncĂ© and Meghan Trainor. Artists now charge ten thousand dollars for a full VIP package at concerts, or even refuse to meet their fans because they're "too exhausted." Music has definitely gone downhill since the 60's. It's grown meaningless and seems to just be  in at the moment of release. Some artists still put an effort into their music and it shows, but there are also artists who have to act out just to get publicity. Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber are well known examples of that faux pas. Music has also developed new dance moves which become very popular on social media and in everyday use. Along with the dance moves, stereotypes based on skin color have along come along in a different way than before as a result of our music. This day in age really revolves around an eccentric lifestyle, and the harsh judgment towards others to make us feel better about ourselves.

Pop continues to change with every song released, in a few years pop may not even be one of the dominant music genres with the constant changes in society. There are always new artists hitting the charts and the kids with dreams hoping for a record deal on social media. Many think auto tune has taken over and natural talent is now rare to find. So where will music lead next? Could we possibly go full circle and start fresh?

Friday Night Lights by Kyler Kring

“Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can’t Lose” is the motto repeated several times throughout the seasons of Friday Night Lights. It’s mostly said by Coach Taylor before football games to motivate his players to use their hearts to play to their fullest potential. You can also apply this statement to anything in life, not just sports, which is why any high schooler could relate to this show. Friday Night Lights is a very emotional show that covers all the aspects of life that everyone goes through.

The show takes place in a small town in Texas called Dillon. It’s a fictional town where everyone knows everyone, so everything gets around. Football is probably the most important thing in this area. Friday’s are the most important day of the week, not because it is the start of weekend, but because that is when the football games are. The Dillon Panthers are expected to be the best team in the state, but when one of their best players goes down with an injury, no one is sure if they can continue with their previous level of success. The main question the town is asking is: will the back-up quarterback, Matt Saracen, be able to lead this team to greatness?
Although you may not be a big fan of football, that does not mean you wouldn’t love the show. The actors who play the characters are very talented and make the games easy to understand. There are also other elements to this show besides football like romance and the problems the characters may face in their home life. The main love interest is between Julie Taylor, the coach’s daughter, and Matt, the new quarterback. This relationship makes for some very awkward but funny conversations. It is surprising how well the actors seem to get along and make the show feel so realistic, as if it’s actually happening.

The chemistry between the characters is phenomenal and is what keeps the show fresh for so long. With continuously new concepts arising in the show, nothing seems to get stale. The writers for this show have obviously done a fantastic job with creating an original setting while still making it feel like home. It is extremely relatable as well. There are many situations where characters go through something that the viewer could easily relate to. These can range from various things like learning to drive or studying for the ACT. The characters' different ages and situations make all of them unique in their own way.

Overall, Friday Night Lights is an amazing and relatable drama that has an abundance of positive aspects with minimal flaws. The characters develop well as they grow up throughout the seasons. The show will continue to appeal to young adults for years to come. Friday Night Lights is an essential viewing for everyone regardless if you are a fan of football or not. It is a must-see.

Barbie's New Look by Savana Joyeuse

Barbie has been an iconic doll since the 50's. She was brought to fame by her bright blonde hair, thin body, and robust chest. However, this image does not reflect the girls who play with her today. In fact, her "iconic" look is unrealistic for the average woman. If Barbie was real her proportions would be a 32F chest size and a 20 inch waist. Some women, like Valeria Lukyanova, known as "The Real Life Barbie", have tried to mimic these proportions for the ideal look.

Recently, large amounts of criticism have been directed toward Mattel (the Barbie doll manufacturing company). Critics state that girls shouldn't be surrounded by this unrealistic body image. In January 2016, a new line of more realistic Barbies were launched. She now has three new body types: tall, petite, and curvy. These new dolls come in a variety of skin tones and hair styles to reflect the women of today.

Although the changes in Barbie are unique and more "realistic" the original Barbie will always hold a place in my heart. I believe there's no strong need for the new body types. Growing up playing with Barbies, I never felt pressure to match her image. I always knew it was just a doll; she's Barbie! Bringing countless hours of happiness to young girls since her creation, she should not change just because the year has. In the end you can change her hair, you can change her clothes, but I hope America finds their way back home to the classic Barbie.

Why Trump Should be Elected

by Brock Umberger

As you know, Donald Trump is the Republican front runner in the next election.  There has been a lot of controversy as to whether or not he is the ideal candidate. Some people say he is crazy and in it to ruin the world. Other citizens are very amused and attracted to his ideas and future actions.

I am a big fan of “The Donald,” and think he could do great for this country. Donald Trump is an economic expert, although people think he is an idiot. DiscussMuch.com states, “Donald Trump knows all about insolvency, debt, the deficit, taxes, and what it would take to right America’s veering economic ship before it becomes the Titanic and sinks permanently.” He is highly educated in how to handle debt and taxes. Because he is very business savvy, I think he can help dig us out of the debt we are in, as stated on Discuss Much. His business savvy will ensure that we do not continue to pile up debt.” Because of his knowledge in the business world, I firmly believe he could run a smooth economy. Right now our economy is not worth anything.

People are so judgmental on religious rights, and Trump being conservative, could put an end to this. “Trump is more of a traditional, religious type, which is in desperate need in America right now.” Trump is going to allow people to feel more freedom.

Donald stands behind everything he says, and will not back down. He is a great negotiator, and could get his way, which is the right way, anytime he wanted. Trump is very decisive, and when he makes a decision, he takes action. He does not sit back and ponder a decision wishing he would have made it. HE MAKES DECISIONS.

The ideas Trump has brought to the Nation’s attention are very controversial. There are very strong haters as well as many supporters. Trump will not hold anything back. That is why he should be our next president. Trump campaigns in ways people do not consider politically correct. This is what is gaining him voters. Trump doesn't capitulate. If anyone attempts to shame or scold him for any of the outrageous and offensive things he's said, he gets outraged and takes offense and demands that the other person apologize. Trump will say absolutely anything. Him speaking his mind and being straight up with everyone is keeping his voters around.

Donald Trump is in this to make America great again. He is the best candidate we have, and he will make the best of it if he is elected. I firmly believe Trump’s ideas are very promising, and that he will make a great leader.  Of all the other Republican candidates, Donald Trump is the only one who can command world respect and who has ample experience in business on a mass scale. The Donald is in it to win it!

The Walking Dead: Is it Just About the Zombies? by Eduardo Hernandez

On October 31st, 2010 America’s number one show premiered. The Walking Dead is one of the most intense, gory, nail-biting series ever aired. It's not all about zombies and Rick’s breathtaking survival skills, however. Over the seasons, Rick’s group becomes closer and they act as if they are a family regarding all of their diversities.

The Walking Dead is about a zombie outbreak that is happening all over the world. There are two evils in this world: zombies and humans. Rick’s group bonds together to fight both evils to survive, because they only have each other.

To summarize the plot, in season 3, Rick’s group finds a few prisoners named Axel, Oscar, Andrew, Tomas, and Big Tiny. Rick kills Tomas after Tomas attempts to kill his group, and Andrew flees after the event happens. He later comes back to try and kill them as revenge but is shot by Oscar. Rick then accepts Axel and Oscar because he saw potential greatness in them, completely disregarding their past convictions. Rick's actions show the strong family bond that develops in the group. Carol is also a prime example of family. Rick forgives Carol in season 4 when she kills two people because they're sick and will infect others. Rick sends her away for her own safety, though, because he cares for her and doesn't want her to be killed because of her crime.

The Walking Dead exploits diversity in many different ways. Rick’s group is brimming with different ethnic groups, ranging from African-Americans to Asians. They’re all family and accept each other. They always have each other's back regardless of their nationality because family is not about the appearance of a person, but about their personality and morality. For example, you can have a brother that doesn't treat you like family even though he is blood, but you can have a best friend that will always treat you as family.

I would recommend watching this television show because The Walking Dead has a meaning behind the foul zombies; it's about how when you're stuck in a world of evil, the people who will be by your side no matter what is your family.

Morgan: “So, you out here because Carol is your friend?”
Rick: “I’m out here ‘cause she's my family.”

Beyonce Formation: Celebration of Black Culture by Kaylee Pulvirenti

BeyoncĂ©’s new single, "Formation," shows her
pride of her African- American culture. This song is particularly meant for a black audience, but I feel that it also gives a white audience a glimpse of the anger and agony of some parts of the black lifestyle.

The set of the "Formation" music video features BeyoncĂ© in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. This particular setting shows the misery of this city after the flooding of neighborhoods, schools, and other parts of the community. BeyoncĂ©’s song lyrics also show her confidence in black women qualities and her cultural roots. “I like my baby heir with baby hair and afros, I like my negro nose with Jackson Five nostrils.” Her performers were wearing afros to represent this theme. Regardless of this, BeyoncĂ© also mentions “yellow-bone it.” I believe that this is referring to her mixed qualities as well. This is important because she can relate to both her white and black fans.

The day after "Formation" was released, Beyonce expressed her pride further by performing the song during the Super Bowl Sunday Halftime Show. BeyoncĂ©’s back up dancers gave a prideful salute by using their fists to support the 50th anniversary of the Black Panthers (a socialist organization). BeyoncĂ© states, “I dream it, I work hard, I grind ‘til I own it.” She serves as a inspiring African- American, and even female, activist. These lyrics fill the purpose of showing success of the black population as a whole. This is also shown through her “black Bill Gates” comment.  Being the artist she is, BeyoncĂ© is basically Queen B. Her talent and glowing personality make viewers want to continue watching her progress. Although she may seem like just a pop singer to some viewers, she actually plays a large role sharing her views on today’s events. She is also an influential political icon. Formation is a prime example of her political views.

Though people may not agree with her messages, they're her form of art. Some individuals even decided to boycott her after her Super Bowl performance, saying that her performance was inappropriate and infuriating. However, this video and her performances are still her own form of art. Her messages are intended to be positive and reflect her feelings and emotions. "Formation" has a very strong message about the #BlackLivesMatter movement and the issues Africans -Americans face, despite the negative reflections on it. Beyoncé's "Formation" video opened my eyes to the problems in our society, and I would definitely recommend others experience the same feeling.

Instagram's Yoga Girl by Madison Buckles

Scrolling through Instagram you'll find countless accounts: food, fashion, beauty, sports, and many more. Yet none of these accounts are quite as unique as Rachel Brathen’s account @yoga_girl. At first glance you'd think that Yoga Girl lives in a perfect world. She does yoga on the beautiful beaches of Aruba, has a loving husband, an adorable dog named Ringo (@ringo_thegringo), and an equally cute goat named Penny (@penny_thegoat). On top of all of that she travels around the world doing what she loves! However, this unique account gives more than a dose of daily serenity; it allows followers to accept and embrace the realities and curveballs that the world throws at us.

I've been following Rachel for years and it feels that with every post we all get to know her a little more. Opening up her heart to all followers, Rachel writes about the good and the bad in life. From sharing her engagement and wedding experiences with us, to talking about the death of her best friend, yoga girl allows her followers to go along with her in the ups and downs of life. These deeply personal posts have definitely helped me and many others accept that sometimes some situations aren't okay, and that is okay!

Rachel uses her fan base of 1.9 million followers to spread the word for good causes. One campaign that she advertises is @109world, which she actually co-founded. The organization conducts mission trips to countries like Latvia, Colombia, Nicaragua, and more. The organization has 7 passions that they support: education, animals, water, environment, children, food security, and women. While many Instagram-famous people take their followers for granted, Rachel makes the most out of it by supporting helpful organizations.

Yoga Girl’s posts also highlight the great moments in life! Her feed is filled with intricate yoga poses and videos that are all about breathing in and letting the emotion and stress out. We live in a busy world where people never seem to stop and take a break. Rachel’s soothing videos and inspirational captions make you pause and take a breath. Through her account I've realized that sometimes we all need to unplug and reflect on the little things in life.

On first impression, Rachel’s account @yoga_girl might seem to be exclusively for aspiring yogis. However, everyone can learn something from her account. Her feed is filled with raw emotion and positive messages that anybody can be touched by. Whether you're visiting the account to look for a new yoga pose or simply just need to de-stress, Rachel’s account is the perfect place to gain a bit of peace and wisdom. Namaste!

Body Positivity by Brooke Matthews

When you think about your favorite actors, actresses, singers, models, etc., how many plus-sized men and women come to mind? Chances are you can only think of a couple, or if you are like most people, probably none. The way plus-sized people, women especially, are portrayed in media is not the same as thinner-figured individuals are portrayed. Because of the way bigger women are shown in the media, women have begun to believe the term “plus-sized” or “fat” is bad. Thanks to the body positivity movement, however, we are showing women of all shapes and sizes that it is okay to love your body regardless of your size.

The film industry rarely casts full-figured women in lead roles, and if they do, she serves as comedic relief; take, for example, Fat Amy. Other times she is hidden amongst the crowd. We also see them portrayed as the “ugly duckling” who usually overcomes obstacles caused because of her weight, and gets the man in the end, like in the movies Hairspray and Just Wright. Rarely is there a movie where a plus-sized woman’s weight isn’t the source of her lack of confidence, depression, or undesirability. Why can’t we cast more big women in leading roles? Are we shaping a negative belief in our society?

It is no doubt that the media sculpts the way we think about everyday life. Not only do movies outline the way adult women think, but it changes the way young girls see themselves. If a young girl is watching her favorite movies or TV shows and all of her favorite characters are tall and thin, the girl will begin to wonder why her body does not look that way. The fix is as simple as casting plus-sized girls to stop insecurity at a young age.

As an attempt to help this cause, women all over the world have started the body positivity movement. This movement acts to encourage girls to love their bodies no matter what color, how big,  how rough or scarred, or how different. The body positivity movement has brought women of all backgrounds and cultures together to grow and work as a team rather than against each other. Famous women have spoken on the topic, such as Demi Lovato, Mary Lambert, Rihanna, and Rebel Wilson, all saying that this movement has helped them cope with being a larger woman in media and is helping their sisters get the recognition they deserve.

Although body positivity isn’t supported by all, it has helped thousands of young women accept their bodies. As the movement continues to grow, the way plus-sized men and women are viewed will hopefully change. No longer will “fat” or “plus-sized” be an insult, and no longer will only “skinny” people take the leads in the media. The future of film should heavily rely on the reflection of reality. Plus-sized women embody the hues of womanhood and should be appreciated.

The Deeper Meanings Behind Video Games by Josh Love

Video games are some of society’s most under appreciated art forms. While on the surface they may seem like just a source of entertainment, video games can be just as thought provoking as some of the best music or movies. They have stories and characters, which you can’t help but be interested in, and some of the best dialogue which rivals even that of great authors.
In the game Bioshock you play as a man named Jack who has been in a plane crash over the Atlantic Ocean. Jack discovers an underwater city called Rapture and is contacted by a man named Atlas who wants you to help find his wife and son. Over the course of the game you follow Atlas’s requests because he seems like a nice guy. During the game whenever Atlas asks you to do something he always says, “Would you kindly." It is only when Atlas asks you to kill Rapture’s founder, Andrew Ryan, that you learn that Atlas hasn’t been asking you to do these things, he’s been ordering you. It is revealed that Atlas was controlling you by saying the phrase: “Would you kindly." It is also revealed that Atlas was the one who ordered Jack to crash his plane in the first place, just so he could get to Jack. Bioshock uses the illusion of free will to express how everyone is not as they seem by taking the form of a question and turning it into an order.

Another game with a shockingly good story is The Last of Us, which is about the world being taken over by zombies. The twist is that these zombies were created by a type of fungus called cordyceps, which are fungi that infect ants. This fungus is an actual thing in the real world. The story is not that different from any generic zombie movie/game. There is a group of people and one of them is immune to zombie bites. However the game’s writing between the main protagonist, Joel, and secondary protagonist, Ellie, is so amazing that you grow to care about these characters. The game starts off with Joel’s daughter dying in the initial zombie outbreak. The game then jumps 20 years forward to the point where Joel meets Ellie.

The story focuses more on Joel and Ellie’s father/daughter relationship rather than the actual zombie outbreak. This makes the game feel fresh and new rather than another zombie clichĂ©. The final act of the game has Joel take Ellie to a group who can synthesize a cure for the zombie outbreak; however, the operation to do so will kill Ellie. Joel is heartbroken, because he doesn’t want to see Ellie, the daughter he never got to raise, die. So Joel makes the ultimate decision to take Ellie back from this group, essentially leaving humanity to die a slow death. This is a controversial ending because either way, there isn’t going to be a happy ending. Yet the controversy alone expresses how much emotion The Last of Us instills within people.

If anything, video games are a way of art. Whether it's a metaphorical game like Bioshock or an emotional game like The Last of Us, video games cause people to express complex emotions which make us think in ways some never thought possible.

Hozier by Phoenix Catinella

Andrew Hozier-Byrne's recently released album, "Hozier" is an absolute gift to humankind. Not only is it something new to pop culture music but it feels like something we've always known. One really cool thing about the album is that you can listen to it on repeat however many times you want and never get sick of it. The ever-changing rhythms, melodies, harmonies, and lyrics will always get the listener into a certain mood depending on the song they're listening to. Certain songs like, "Someone New", "Jackie and Wilson", and "Take Me to Church" makes listeners want to get up and dance until they can't feel their feet any longer. Other songs like, "In a Week", "From Eden", and "Cherry Wine" are very relaxing and thought provoking. The album is heavily influenced by older styles of music like, folk, soul, and the blues. It also includes a few modern influences like indie rock.

One of Hozier's most well known songs, "Take Me to Church" gives good insight into Hozier's life. He is a 26 year old, Irish, singer-songwriter who stands up for what he believes in through his music. "Take Me to Church" is a religious song about someone being separated from someone they love because it is considered religiously incorrect. He feels that this song is important because he, being born and raised in Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland, where the Catholic religion heavily influences people's views, realizes that it's wrong to discriminate against people because of who they love. By writing this song he realizes that he is giving these people that are discriminated against their chance to take a stand with him. So not only is he a talented singer/songwriter, he is also a good role model because he takes a stand for what he feels is right.

Another song that conveys a really positive image is the song, "Someone New". It is about the joy that branching out and meeting new people can bring. The sound is very uplifting and has a feeling of curiosity in a way that makes you want to engage on that feeling. Anytime you are feeling down this song will pick you right up out of the dirt. He sings, "I fall in love just a little, oh a little bit, everyday. In love with every stranger. The stranger the better." Not only do these lyrics continue to convey the idea of meeting new people but it also embraces people who are considered different or strange. He says that the weirder someone is the better they tend to be. This message is also aimed towards people who would be considered "normal". It shows them that they shouldn't judge people before taking the time to get to know them, because they could miss out on having a really cool relationship with them.

Overall Hozier is a very talented musician and doesn't get enough credit for all the work he puts into his music. Everyday people hear his music which allows them to have a more positive and accepting outlook on life. If you haven't already given his album a listen, I highly suggest doing so. It is available on iTunes, Spotify, YouTube, Soundcloud, Pandora, and you can even buy the CD!

The Walking Dead Season 6 Review by Logan Maddox

Most shows are coming to an end with their sixth season; however, The Walking Dead is as alive as ever. The first episode of the season got 14.6 million views during its premiere according to Cinema Blend. Though these numbers are not record breaking for the show, they are impressive. The show’s biggest competitor for views is currently NBC’s Sunday Night Football.
Outside of viewership the show has been pushing new boundaries. The two part season ended with the death of a major character. It premiered on October 11, 2015 and end on April 3, 2016. The first part of the season spanned over only a few days within the show. The first episode is about the group trying to lead thousands of “Walkers” away from the town Alexandria, however the show uses flashbacks to give the episode more length. The flashbacks are in black and white, and bring viewers back to days before the group is leading the walkers. It gives depth to what has happened in between the season. As the group leads the walkers away from the camp, another group called the “Wolves” attacks Alexandria. Everyone except Daryl (the man riding the motorcycle in the picture), Abraham, and Sasha return to Alexandria to fight back against the Wolves. At Alexandria the walkers break down the walls and overrun the camp. The remaining survivors in Alexandria are forced to fight back against the zombie herd. This is the end of the first part of the season.
Two months after the attack, the community is struggling to survive. They are forced to rebuild the wall, while their food supply runs low. While looking for food, Rick and Daryl meet Jesus. Jesus is one of the leaders at the Hilltop. Rick and Daryl decide to trade for food with the Hilltop; however, when they learn that the Hilltop is being extorted Rick decides that he will kill Negan and the saviors, the people that are extorting the Hilltop. Rick and a group of his best fighters attack the saviors at night and kill everyone in the compound. The group thinks that they have killed all of the saviors; however, when they try to take Maggie to the Hilltop to receive medical assistance the saviors block all of the paths available. The saviors mentally provoke the group every time they stop them. When the group is caught, Negan makes demands to Rick, and then randomly chooses one person to beat since Rick has killed so many of his men. The season ends with Negan beating one the people in the group.

The show’s ending caused the large question of: Who did Negan kill? However, asking that question is much easier than getting answer. The show runner Scott Gimple said, “I believe there is no way. There are a couple of things in there that might help people possibly kind of limit the amount of people who are vulnerable but I would say I would like people not to go down that route because I don’t think - I truly don’t think - there is a way to puzzle it all out definitively.” This did not stop the brave internet explorers.

A YouTube channel called CP Games has heavily examined the last part of the show. If you look at the picture you can see how Negan lined up the characters to choose who to beat. One scene in the showed Negan passing by Rick before he picked who he would kill. The shadow on Rick proves that Negan did not kill Glenn, Rosita, Daryl, Michonne, Abraham, Maggie, or Rick. This leaves us with only four characters remaining, however we can assume that is wasn’t Carl (Rick’s only son) because Negan said, “Anybody moves, anybody says anything, cut the boy’s other eye out, and feed it to his father.” Why would you cut Carl’s eye out if he is about to die? This leaves the list to only three. The show did not give more information on who would have been killed, however the comics do give some hints. In the comics, Negan was protective of women. In one of the comics where he was talking to a room full of his prostitutes he asked, “I ever hit any of you?” Due to this soft spot for women we can guess that he wouldn’t have picked Sasha.

The final two characters are very different. We have Eugene would have developed immensely over the season. Eugene has gone from a weak character who fears everything to a strong fighter that is willing to die for the group. The last character that changed this much in the show was Beth. Beth's character was built up for episodes before she died, similar to the way Eugene has been built up. The only evidence against Eugene was a picture that was posted on Twitter showing a wax figure of Aaron in the background, but the picture was quickly taken down after it was posted. This makes us guess that it was Aaron because the wax figure had a crack in the head that would show Aaron as being dead. The question of “Who did Negan kill?” will remain until the next season, but fans will continue to get closer and closer until season seven finally airs in the fall.

Drake's New Album by Darrien Reasonover

Drake’s new album, Views, is a triumph of so-called “Toronto sound” and reveals his “view from the 6 (Toronto).” Drake, Six God and the present king of the rap game, has spent the better part of the past five years proving himself as the best there is and ever will be.

This album has been alluded to for quite some time; even on his Meek Mill diss track “Back to Back” he says at the end- “took a break from views now it’s back to that.” That was in the summer of 2015. This Drake album is the most anticipated album by the six god to say the least. Views sold 630K copies on the first day, and is expected to go platinum in a week’s time.

Drake commented on the fluency of his 20 song album saying that “it’s based off the changing seasons of my city (Toronto)” He is referencing how a year starts off with a cold winter, has a hot summer (the middle of the album) and finishes just as cold as the beginning if not more so. When listening to the album you can clearly get a smooth gospel like vibe off the first few songs. Some of these songs are “Keep the Family Close” and “Weston Road Flows”. It transitions into a more popular sounding hip-hop middle, with songs such as “Contolla”, “Pop Style”, and “One Dance” to cheer you up. Drake ends with “Views” and “Hotline Bling” both which are just enough to calm you back down and put you in a chill mood. Overall, this album is an instant classic, and a must for all hip-hop/rap fans.
